Attention & focus
Difficulty with execution, organization, task completion, follow-through, or questions about whether ADHD explains the problem.
We are shaped by our experiences, relationships, and the people and world around us. Good psychiatric care begins with understanding that story.
Sometimes the work is focused—an ADHD evaluation, medication treatment, or help with anxiety or mood. Other times it involves relationships, identity, performance, direction, meaning, or patterns that have become difficult to change.
My goal is to understand you (or your child) as a person as well as the problem, and to make treatment thoughtful and straightforward.
Independent psychiatric care from an MD psychiatrist in Denver.
Integrating medical expertise, psychotherapy, and a developmental understanding across the lifespan.

MY PRACTICE
Direct care and continuity
I provide your evaluation, treatment planning, prescribing, therapy, and ongoing care myself. There is no handoff to a separate prescriber, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, therapist, or rotating provider.
Medical and therapeutic depth
My background and experience span medicine, general psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, psychotherapy, and psychoanalytic coursework and training. That allows treatment to be focused when the problem is straightforward and deeper when it is not.
AREAS OF CARE
Difficulty with execution, organization, task completion, follow-through, or questions about whether ADHD explains the problem.
Anxiety, depression, stress, transitions, or a sense that something is not working as well as it could.
Recurring relationship patterns, loneliness, questions about direction, connection, meaning, or fulfillment.
Changes in school, work, family, relationships, roles, or direction that create stress or raise larger questions about what comes next.
The pressures, expectations, and tradeoffs that can come with demanding or highly competitive environments.
Situations in which symptoms overlap, the diagnosis is unclear, prior treatment has not helped enough, or a thoughtful second look would be useful.
CARE ACROSS STAGES OF LIFE
FOR FAMILIES
Children and adolescents need to be understood developmentally and in the context of family, school, relationships, and increasing independence.
Children & TeensFOR ADULTS
Adult work may begin with a specific symptom, a recurring pattern, or a broader question about how life is going.
AdultsPARTICULAR EXPERIENCE
ADHD can significantly affect school, work, relationships, confidence, and everyday life. Because difficulty with attention and follow-through can have many causes, getting the diagnosis right matters.
When it is, effective treatment can make a substantial difference.
Learn about ADHD careTHERAPY & DEVELOPMENT
Therapy can help people recognize patterns earlier, understand what drives them, strengthen relationships, and create more room for change. My psychoanalytic coursework and training, together with my child and adolescent psychiatry training, help me look beyond symptoms to recurring patterns, development, relationships, and earlier experience.
More about my trainingMY PATH
Before medicine, my path took me through competitive athletics and finance. Those experiences shaped how I think about development, achievement, work, relationships, and the different directions a life can take.
I eventually found in psychiatry the kind of work I had been looking for: working closely with people, developing expertise, and being genuinely useful.
